Steve Hazel serves as the Chief Financial Officer and has been with FSB for almost 10 years. Steve is a key member of the Executive team directing strategic financial initiatives across all divisions of FSB. He provides a dynamic support model for FSB in advancing financial performance for the portfolio and the company. With Steve’s comprehensive 35-year history in accounting, valuation, business management and finance - coupled with his CPA/tax background – he has been instrumental in driving savings and tax strategiesfor all real estate projects owned and managed by FSB.

Steve has a long history of assisting non-profit companies with formation, compliance, and planning initiatives.

Steve holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Denver, is a licensed CPA, and he holds Valuation and Forensics Certifications, including ASA and CFF. Additional certifications held by Steve are: CPA/ABV/CFF, ASA, CVA, CMC, CGMA.

Steve is a native of Colorado, loves to travel and participate in all outdoor activities. He enjoys all sports, especially biking and kayaking. He spends most of his free time with his four grown children in their 20s, and especially his two young grandchildren. He is active in the Lutheran church and high school communities.
